DeWayne brings to DES Training almost 20 years of engineering sales experience along with a background as a public speaking teacher. DeWayne has been teaching safe and effective shooting since 2003. DeWayne has earned the honor of training Instructors for the NRA, along with the joy of teaching at the student level.

Elizabeth brings to DES Training the detail-oriented skills of 17 years as a mechanical CADD designer in the engineering field. Elizabeth has taught in the York County and Charlotte Metro area since 2004. As a woman, Elizabeth provides her students with unique insights to firearm choices and techniques.

Darin Swiger: NRA Senior Training Counselor, NRA Certified Instructor in Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, Basic Shotgun, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection in the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Metallic Cartridge Reloading, Shot Shell Reloading, and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer. SLED Certified Concealed Weapons Permit Instructor.

Darin brings to DES Training the skills learned from 25 plus years in the shooting sports. Darin's areas of knowledge have been built from a life long hobby, and competing in leagues such as Bullseye, PPC and Combat Shooting with handguns and Small Bore Silhouette Rifle, High Power Service Rifle Matches and an the occasional 1000 yd Long Range Rifle Matches. As a father and husband, Darin sees firearm safety in the home as an everyday way of life.

David Goldman: NRA Instructor, NRA Certified Instructor in Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, Basic Shotgun and NRA Range Safety Officer.

Before David joined DES Training he was a Bail Enforcement Agent for 5 years in New York, and the owner of (F.A.S - Fugitive Apprehension Services). David achieved the rank of Sifu (Instructor) in 1994 under the late Grandmaster Moy Yat at the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Kung Fu Headquarters in New York City. For the last 18 years David has been very deeply involved in the IT industry, and for 10 of those years owned his own consulting firm which he sold before he moved to Charlotte. David is also an active Skeet, PPC (Police Pistol Combat), and IDPA competitor.
